Portal Art-Backyard

Behind every bookshelf that has a secret compartment, behind every house that has a hidden trapdoor, and behind every optical illusion, there are portals. You could even say they’re like gateways to other worlds, like a worm hole, because they take us to places that are often beyond our imagination and beyond our reality. The painting below is what I call portal art. I used acrylic paint on concrete in order to create the illusion that the ground is being torn apart to reveal the sky. I added grass, a dandelion and a sunflower to enhance the realism of the image. I hope you all enjoy:)

A portal to another world, in your backyard lies. Acrylic, grass, dandelion and sunflower on concrete (2015).
